![]() ![]() Sometimes I wanted to completely start over but went forth with the decisions I made just to see it all playout There were many times I found myself second guessing the decisions i had made and many times found myself anxious about what choices I made. The player is confronted with tense situations that call for the player to make tough decisions that can lead to massive consequences and it is recommended that every player use their critical thinking skills. Who you do and do not talk to can seriously change the story up. The player can interact with a lot of the environment and the NPCs " Non Playable Characters "which influence the story in dramatic ways. The developers did a perfect job with creating the game in a way that completely drowns the user in the story and the story demands really intense emotions from the player. I picked up the free digital copy of the first episode "Chrysalis" from Gamepass for X1and quickly I was hooked so I bought the complete season. Life Is Strange is on the other end of the spectrum. I was not even sure If I would like Life Is Strange at first because I typically play games like Modern Warfare or FPS games. This game is AWESOME! I freaking loved the story, the characters and everything in between! Due to the maturity of the heavy topics discussed within the games, you might want to consider how mature your child is before handing them this game if your child is not in high school. Life is strange is a great game for teenagers in Highschool and for those who are older. I don't think I need to talk more about this. There are many moments that Max must sacrifice someone for the good of someone else. There are many moments in the game's last chapters that are filled with peril. There is a suicide attempt in the middle of the story. The games climax includes kidnapping and physical assault. This is just one example of bad school behavior. Afterward, they evade the school security force before fleeing into the night. They spend a little time in the pool in their underwear. There is one scene where Max and her best friend, Chloe, break into the school. Blackwell Academy, the high school of the story, is not a good role model for a school. This game has a lot of profanity and drug references. Max is not simply written that way and when someone dies, you feel hollow. Unlike other games, you do not want to hurt anyone. but unlike other games that trivialize death and violence, this game brings a morbid tone to death. The story itself is amazing, and the characters well written. What would you choose? How would this effect your relationship with these people in the future? These are questions asked many, many times in the story. Another example: Comforting a bully versus making fun of her. The game really focuses on the consequences of your choices and causes the player to really think about the implications of, for example, reporting a violent person to the principal versus keeping quiet about it. ![]() Life is strange follows Maxine (Max) in her senior year of high school. This game is absolutely great! I will split my thoughts into three sections. ![]()
